I you want I can send you a photo of mine...it ain't snowing here (south Florida). I am surprised that FR doesn't always use the same weldment, but I guess if you have only two batteries someone might ask what the rest of the space is for.

I'll send you one today.

Sorry if I seem like I am hijacking this thread, but I had the exact same question on my 2016 Georgetown 369XL, but about they weight of two Honda 2000 generators.

I was thinking of putting each one in a different compartment. Then place a piece of 1/2 inch plywood under them to help distribute the weight.

Does anyone think I should have concerns?

If you have the EU2000s as I do then I see no problem. I too have a 1/2" piece of plywood under them and have hauled them in the back driver side basement for the last 12000 miles. I did separate them a bit and do not place them side by side.
