Bathroom Sink Connection

All of the time I have owned this 2005 GT XL, I have assumed that the bathroom sink drained unto the gray tank.

WRONG...it drains into the black tank.

While dumping and flushing my tanks, I was adding water to the gray tank trying to flush it a little by running water into the bathroom sink. To my surprise, nothing came out when I opened the gray tank valve but water gushed out of the recently dumped and flushed and supposedly empty black tank.

Through a process of running water with the valves open, I determined that the shower and kitchen go to the gray. Commode and bathroom sink to the black tank.

Am I the only person that didn't know this?

Bill

While I understand the reasons behind this but I did not know that. On my 378XL I believe they all drain into the gray, and only toilet goes to black. I will have to check and insure that I am correct.
