Battery fluid fill
Hello to all,
Just want to clarify when you are topping of batteries you use distilled water, correct?

Just to add. You sound like you're not familiar with batteries and when you say "top off" you don't mean to fill the individual ports completely, do you?

No I am not filling the ports completely. Had someone telling me I had to add elecrolyte fluid only, so this was just a piece of mind.

Distilled water IS correct. The acid is still there, you are just replacing the water. You can buy a decent hydrometer for about $10 no guessing.

A turkey baster from the $1 store is very helpful for adding the distilled water into the individual battery cells. On my Georgetown the batteries are under the steps, and the furthest cells can be a little tough to fill. A turkey baster makes it easy.

+1 You learn something new every day. Never ever thought about a turkey baster. Been doing it straight out of the jug, which is a PITA. Thanks!
