Battery showing "E" 2016 364

So I took my rv to the shop for a little over a month, maybe 6 weeks while they fixed roof and some other things. Most of time was waiting on parts to ship for radius.

Anyways, got it back and first trip out my batteries are on E even after plugged in for a full 3 days before we came out to camper.

Did dealer leave on and kill? He had it plugged in when I got there, so wondered if he left it on and ran it down? Any other reasons? It's always showed full or almost full prior to this.

Any tips on what I can check would be appreciated. I have power for everything in coach, not running acs as weather nice but things that don't run on 12v all run so I know connection is good.

Thanks

The battery disconnect switch has to be "on" or the batteries will not charge or register on the meter. It will also blow fuses if you try to use the hydraulic system without the batteries connected.

In our 2015 364, there is a power cord plugged into the outlet in the bay with your electric cord. Ours came undone and our batteries discharged. Check it out. The outlet is on the top of the bay near the rear.

Checked that, it's plugged in. I did notice when I turned off the 12v light above table it showed 1/3 instead of empty.

Check the breaker in the breaker panel to confirm that the converter is on

The next test is to plug into shore power and turn the battery disconnect off. Do you still have lights? If not, it's your converter/charger.

That would be the definitive test...as long as the converter has 120 vac

Breaker was good...pulled fuses when disconnected and top 25 fuse was bad.

You will need to charge the coach batteries separately with a battery charger. When the batteries' voltage are too low, the battery disconnect delay (solenoid) can not pick up to permit the converter to charge them. Only other way is by driving and then the other relay picks up and charges them while you drive. That's the answer if nothing else has failed.

Ok so battery not charging after new fuse and new fuse was toast this morning when I checked it. Everything worked just fine before dropping it off for 6 weeks....any other ideas to trouble shoot? I'll be driving to Florida next week so if that long of a charge will bring them up to where the converter will start working then great...but worried if I lose 12v could be a pain and then some.

if...you have a Progressive Dynamics converter and...if you replaced one of the fuses above the output leads, according to their technical support documentation the ONLY thing that will blow these fuses is hooking up the batteries with polarity reversed.

I would put a voltmeter on the output leads with the converter turned off and confirm that the positive is in fact the battery positive. Do this with the batteries connected (disconnect switch turned on.)

Then turn off the batteries and replace the fuse and confirm that you have at least 13.2 volts coming from the converter with the batteries disconnected.

Hard to believe batteries have been hooked up all year and now a problem..no reason dealer would have done anything battery related. It is progressive dynamics 9200 series.

I don't have a way to determine what's leaving converter where I am at. Will take to dealer on way out and leave there, any reason this wouldn't be warranty issue?

I guess that question can only be answered by your dealer as it could be caused by many different things. If you have a good dealer you're probably in good shape, if not, who knows how they will "spin" the problem.

If the converter is bad it could still be under warranty. Reverse polarity fuses would be doubtful.

Yep and now I am screwed. Batteries too low to bring in slides....just run coach enough to hope to charge then enough?
