Begging indulgence: another portable SAT TV question

My unit is the 2017 328TS with the main room TV mounted midships. I'm about to hook up my DISH portable SAT/Wally unit, so I read a slug of previous posts on the subject to prepare. I'm in Texas, its very hot outside, and I'd like to save as much pain and suffering as I can, so here we go. Hopefully there are two pics attached--hookups at the TV and the switch box stuff in a front overhead cabinet.

The TV has one coax connected and two RCA plugs from the home theater system(I think). There are 3 open HDMI ports as well as a port for an additional display. In a front overhead cabinet there is a power outlet, a powered coax connection marked "TV", and the "switchbox" with three input selections marked TV antenna, cable, and aux/SAT. In the left rear corner external compartment there is a coax port marked cable. The only other part of the system is the roof mounted directional antenna which has a signal booster built-in.

I would like to coax my dish to the outside cable port, hook the inside coax to the "in" port on the Wally, then HDMI to the main TV. I would turn off the powered tv port up front, the external antenna signal booster, and choose the "cable" input in the selector.

Finally to the questions: Does this have a chance to work, and if not, is there a way to make it work?
Is there a chance that the Wally has a "pass thru" that will enable it to pass any input signal thru when it is turned off?
Thanks for your help.

I have the same set up as you. I use a portable DIRECTV Slimline HD dish. What I do is connect the coax coming from the dish to the cable port in the left rear compartment. Then I unscrewed the coax labeled 'cable' from the back of the multi switch in the overhead and connected it to the IN on the back of my Directv receiver. Running HDMI to the TV would be a PITA so I bought a wireless HDMI off Amazon and I connect the wireless HDMI receiver to any TV I want, inside, bedroom or outside. I can still use the OTA antenna on any TV as well.

If you wanted to keep everything as is you would need 2 A/B switches. One in the overhead and one at the TV. The Wally only has HDMI output (unlike the VIP 211K) which has both coax and HDMI outputs. The GT 378 is not prewired with HDMI cabling. The Walley has to be mounted close enough for the HDMI cable to reach the TV without routing (a PITA). The Wally uses an RF remote so it can be installed anywhere (behind walls not a problem). The VIP211K/Z use an IR remote. The wireless HDMI appears to be a good option. In the GT378 the park cable does come direct to the TV input selector panel, in the overhead, direct without any splitters between terminations and therefore can be used for the SAT antenna/receiver interconnect. I beleve if you want SAT to the rear TV using the Wally you will most probably have to go the wireless HDMI route.

I was planning on getting this, but might find a point to multipoint one that I can use with all 3 TV's in my 328ts.

SAT TV

If you have direstv at home and ATT phones you don't need a dish. You can get data free tv and watch you home DVR with a hdmi cable and phone jack adapter, Go to Directv website for more info

That is if you have decent cell service, which in most cases you will not have in most national parks or forests.

This is exactly what we did and it works perfectly - we don't have the Wally box, we have the older one, but we hook it up using the cable input located in the back compartment. Then we put the satellite either up on the ladder (we have a mount pre-setup) or onto a tripod if we need to move it around due to trees etc.

We weren't able to find one with a multi-out, so we ended up buying 2 of the same brand from amazon and getting an HDMI splitter - so the output from the receiver goes to the HDMI splitter, and then we have 2 separate transmitters with 2 receivers. They do have to watch the same channel however since it's the same feed. For us, not a big deal since there are only 2 of us and we are usually watching the same thing anyway.

It's from actiontec

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So far it has worked great, we had one transmitter crap out over the winter 2 years ago and Actiontec replaced it for free (we'd only had it about 9 months at that point)

Thanks for all the good information everyone. It seems that ordering any of these wireless setups is a crap shoot, according to the reviews. I ended up ordering the Iogear: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I will report once I get it up and running. In the meantime, I discovered that Netflix will let subscribers download selected content for watching offline, so I downloaded several of our favorite TV shows to my iPad which I can then play back through the TV using Apple's lightning to hdmi AV adapter. This bypasses the "home theater system" so will have just the TV's sound, but that's not a big deal at this point. This can also be done wirelessly with other equipment, but I opted for simplicity of a direct connection.

The home theater system (Furrion DV1200) has a USB port on the front of it, and I'm trying to determine just how this can be used. The Furrion manual IMO is so poorly written it may be a Chinese translation. In my wildest dream, I envision being able to play programs recorded to a memory stick or hard drive through this port. If anyone has any info on this, please let me know.
