Black tank flush not working

I have a 2017 351ds and when I hook hose to black tank flush inlet and turn water on I hear water running in line for a couple seconds. But not in the tank. I dont hear the sprayer working at all in the tank and then the water in hose stops flowing.
I tried by passing the check valve under the kitchen sink as that was the only one i could find. Still no water flowing into black tank flush. Is there another check valve I'm missing or could it be some other problem. Please give me ideas on what to check.

I had the same problem on my 2016 335DS, turned out that the water pressure coming out of my regulator (40 PSI) was not high enough to open the check valve, removing the regulator solved the problem.

The check valve on my coach is under the bathroom sink, BTW.

I'm at home and water is going straight from house to RV black tank flush inlet. No pressure regulator. Also while at last campground I tried it with and without pressure regulator hooked up with no difference

To say that the check valve was installed backwards may or may not be the case since it did work in the past. Unless the valve was backwards wasn't working before and now it decides to do its job properly

However if I eliminated the check valve all together which I did and I still dont get water through the flush which I dont whst else could be the issue. Theres no way possible it seems to drop the tank and check the flush nozzle itself

Sorry. We couldn't tell by reading your post that this system worked in the past and now doesn't.

Don't have your GT model but also don't think your "check valve" (vacuum breaker-check valve) is under the kitchen sink. Yours may be under the bathroom sink or at least in closer proximity to the bathroom. Does sound like the tank nozzle is clogged.

Over time I had this same problem develop with my Tiffin Allegro Bus. I could access the top of the black tank from a bin and the plastic spray nozzle with easily accessible there. On Tiffin forum advice, I removed it (couple screws), removed the hose clamp and drilled out the tiny holes in the nozzle with a slightly larger bit. Put it back in and it worked like a champ.

That being said, the saniflush also stopped working in my FR Sunseeker, and I was planning to see if I could find the same kind of nozzle on that but never got to it... traded it in on this new forester now, so hoping no problems for a while.

After 10 years I had to change the sprayer on the tank. It was really clogged bad. I did clean it, but after going to the trouble of removing it I decided to replace with one that rotated. Hooked both up to a garden hose and tested, the rotating one does a much better job. That said, yours is only a few years old so I wouldn’t think the sprayer would be clogged already.

I cant come to any other conclusion other than somehow the sprayer is clogged. Gonna try some hot water through the line with some soap and an compressor. See if that softens it up and blows it out. There's no way I can access the sprayer to remove it and unclogg it manually

I've had one clog and was able to blow it out at the check valve output side (bypass check valve) with some water in the line and 40psi applied. I think I got lucky. Might work for you also. Good luck.

I’ve had this problem. It was caused by a mother in law who was gluten intolerant but would eat gluten filled foods until it created “stomach issues”. This resulted in an overfilled tank and to much TP clogging the nozzle. My solution was to fully fill the black tank with clean soapy water (I just kept running the flush until water was visible inside the toilet drain pipe) and then let us sit for 24 hrs. I then drained the tank and immediately hooked up the flush. Worked like a charm. I’m assuming the soak time soften or dissolved whatever it was that came out of the mother in law and clogged the tank.

That's so funny....I dont have a mother in law with stomach issues but I have three kids under 9 years old that work that toilet like a machine..especially the 3 year old. She likes the TP. I'm camping at Gettysburg now. Plan is to empty rinse and fill the tank in the morning then go check out the battlefields. Same plan. Fill with clean soapy H2o and let soak then try the flush.

Gettysburg is great. Was there for the FROG rally earlier this spring. Have fun!

Ok so it sat for about 12 hours and i got it to squirt for about 10 seconds and then it stopped. I dont know what means now. The check valve was working fine. I ordered the digest it overnight enzyme cleaner. Got delivered today. However I'm in Gettysburg not home. When I get home I'll fill the tank with clean water and the digestive solution and hopefully that will get my black tank sprayer working again
