Blue Sky RV Insurance Experience
I am currently getting quotes for full time insurance. Does anyone have any experience with Blue Sky? Their rates are around $400 less than Good Sam's for very similar coverages.
Any information, good/bad, would be appreciated.

I have had good experience with Blue Sky. I have had 2 claims and each was handled quickly and with little to no pain.

I have had them for 2 years, no claim experience but the premium went up 20% after the first year.

I just requested a quote for my motorhome and I will post back and see if they can recue what I presently have.
Trailers folks should only be insure for vehicle accidents.
Even if you don't have insurance for your trailer your car insurance covers damages under your towing vehicle insurance if you get involved in a accident. Did you know that?. It is a non-motorized trailer.

Ditto on rate going up the second year! No claims the first year, and yet a 35% increase the second year.

I had Blue Sky but I changed to Good Sam because of the storage mode. Good Sam will give you massive rate cuts when in storage. Just let them and you financial institution know your RV is in storage and Good Sam will drop the collision until You put it back on the road. At present I pay $0 monthly and actually got a $46 check back from them. So I cut my annual insurance cost in half.

We started out with Blue Sky, bit after two years, (no claims) it almost doubled. Checked around and got the best from Progressive. So far so good!

I had Progressive. First year was OK; second year jumped almost 100% without any accidents or claims. I went ballistic!! They claim the increase is to pay off damage cost on other wrecks. So, according to them, whether you have an accident or not is irrelevant; you pay for other's wrecks. I said good-bye and caution anyone to stay away from Progressive.

I've had Thum Ins for 4yrs made aclaim and no cost increase they have a deminishing deductable it cost a little over 5 a yr but that is for my 2016 Sierra 376BHOK fith wheel. I also carry extended warranty would be with it, 100 buck repairs anything.

I just got my quote from Blue Sky for my 2012 Georgetown Motorhome.
They wanted $1,132 for a year and that was with $1,000 deductible.
My present Insurance is $825 with $500 deductible for the exact same.
I guess I'm getting a good deal with my carrier. Thanks but no thanks

Yes. Liability coverage is provided by the insurance company that handles your tow vehicle. Collision and comprehensive is needed to cover your trailer and is purchased separately. If you have a loan on your rig your mortgage/ bank will require them.
