Buying a New 2016 Georgetown 328

Hi All. I have been looking through the Forum and trying to find out what significant problem owners were having or have had with this model. I have not seen much posted. So I assume it is a good choice for us. We are picking our unit up from Motor Home Specialist on Friday. Yes we are trading in a 2014 Terra SE 31 ft. We have had nothing but problems with this unit. So we are really hoping that this Motorhome will be a pleasure to travel with. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Each coach has it's own peculiarities, but the Georgetown overall is a fine unit for the money. I just purchased a 364TS and it's not without it's glitches as we get use to it, but overall, I"m very satisfied.

2016 328 Georgetown

Please check it over very carefully. We have 2015 328ts and so far have had over 70 warranty items and problems. In fact it has been in the shop for over 3 months now and a total of 6 months in the last 15. We are still having problems and have requested Camping World and Forrest to purchase this (Hanger Queen) back from us. I have just filed a safety complaint with NHTSA about a loud popping noise coming from the frame/wall area next to the driver's seat. Hopefully you wont get a lemon like we did.

We purchased a 351DS in Feb. from Motorhome Specialists. Once all the kinks were worked out it's been fine. I upgraded a few things here and there. Added Airmax roof covers, and got a front-end alignment. We took it from Texas to Niagara, down to NY, Boston, Philly, etc. and back without a lick of trouble. Good luck and have fun!!

I have a 2013 335. Have 10,000 miles on it. Have had no major issues. A few minor ones the first year.

Lout popping noise

They don't know what it is. Talked to Forest River (Kevin) and he wants me to take it to Carolina Coach, NC. Seems to think they have a better service department. Anyone had experience with this dealer. The location is about 4 hours drive from my house. Oh they took the coach to the Ford dealer and they checked the shock bolts and other items and couldn't find the noise either. Everyone can hear it but cant find it.

After purchasing 3 SOB diesel pushers I predict it'll take you a while to get everything "sorted out". My experience was about a year to get things fixed and even after that we has some minor issues come up periodically. IMHO, it's just the nature of these beasts. By the way, my units were not lower tier units either, they were Tiffin and Monaco brands. Good luck, just go into it with you eyes wide open and expectations "in check"!

If you have done the CHF, undo it, put the rods back in the front holes. This happened on my GT 364TS. The alignment sop said this is the 3rd or 4th one he has had to undo for the same "clunk" sound...front sway bar end hitting the frame.
Regarding problems on our 2015 GT - excessive front end sway, loud engine and lack of power. This latter is just part of the territory on a gasser vs DP. Regarding the 364TS coach, we couldn't be happier.
