After my first trip, I am changing the door to open up NOT down. I'll be adding a snuber.

The doors are mounted that way because of fire code. These doors are over the stove.

Respectfully Disagree. It is typical RV industry practices - NONE. There are no formal Instructions, plans, ....They do it how the individual feels that day. Read the posts - 50% one way, 50% the other, As far a fire, it is more dangerous opening down and having to reach over the door, versus anything falling out - I have bars to prevent the later. I'm changing mine this week after going on my first real trip.

That is the information I was given by the salesman. If you apply a little logic to it, it actually makes sense. If you have something cooking and you open the cupboard above the stove top and something falls out the open door will cause the item to fall away from the stove, and not hit the stove directly. Just saying[emoji3]

If a Salesman said it, take it to the Bank! If you are not Shaq, and have to reach over the door to get what you need while cooking, ... Just Saying.

That's why they make Vanilla and Chocolate IC.
