Yes you can, It's the only way to cool the rear of the coach with the A/C.

you should run the generator at least a few hours a month under load, manual gives some specific advice. Works great going down the road, watching tv, cooking with convection oven, etc..

I always ran mine when it was hot, it does have a small impact on the fuel milage but who cares if you are comfortable.

Not running the gen set while refueling is for the same reason you should turn off the engine of your car or coach. The gen set exhaust is very close to the fuel fill. The new pump. handles seal off fumes better than the old days, but an accidental fuel spill can be ignited by engine or gen set heat/exhaust. Non residential frigs and water heater on propane are also a risk. The risk may be very small but if it happens the result is very bad. Once while fueling a guy filling his car was smoking! It was a calm day and the smell of fuel was strong. I politely said something and his response was to take a deep puff. I stopped pumping and walked away until he left.

I am of two minds about this...

My generator is at the front of the coach, my fuel fill is about 18' away. Cars are coming and going from the pumps. My fridge is mounted pretty high, if it is on gas the flame is 5' in the air. I would say the odds are extremely low that I am going to spark a fire.

However I do plan my stops and turn the fridge and generator off prior to refueling.
