I had that same concern. I measured with slide in. Also was planning for blades to be higher than top of trim from slide. It is close though. Blade arm can be bent up slightly for more clearance. I guess no one has attempted with a GT.

Plus, not so sure I want whirling blades-O-death not 4 or so ft from my groggy head. I just know, SOME night I would smite myself on a midnight potty run!

Now, we have one in the living room (10-ish' cieling) it's nice there!
