Also if you have a AC+heat pump, that vent is the ONLY place the heat will come out so MUST be open.

Wipers not working? Try hitting the motor with a hammer. Seriously!! If it starts up and then stops again change the wiper blades to 28". I believe some motors are not rated for 32"blades.
