Ceiling vents... what are they used for?

Our 2015 GT 328 has several vents mounted on the ceiling. Does anyone know what they are used for? As far as I can tell they do not work with either the air conditioner or the furnace. - Thx

On your AC unit is a sliding vent. If the vent is open your unit will blow cool air straight down out of that vent. It is louder but will cool faster. If you slide that vent closed the unit is quieter and the cool air will then flow through the round vents in your ceiling. Click image for larger version

I tried to attach photos of that vent in both open and closed positions.

I bet you hit the nail on the head. I never even considered that the OP may have the dump vents open, therefore, not allowing the A/C to push through the vents.

Hope it helped. I've had a travel trailer and now two motorhomes, always something to learn on these things. That's half the fun.......or not. :-) Safe travels.

Have you had any issues with your 329ds? We also have a 2015 329ds and it has had several. Front air (in dash) went out, 2 burner igniters on stove not working, windshield wipers quit, 1 heat strip out, a cabinet door fell off, and generator still not working right.

Larry, sorry to hear of the issues you have experienced. We have had our 328TS since January. We needed to have the front air conditioner replaced under warranty and now that we are 'full timers' we have discovered a leak i the main slide and so far it has been a challenge to schedule a service appointment with a repair facility where we are traveling. The earliest we could get was November 24 in Jacksonville Fl. Until then we will need to keep the main slide in when it is raining.

I hope you get all of your issues resolved under warranty.

We have had a few. BR slide not adjusted correctly ripped the carpet off the bed platform, roof radius "wrinkled" had it replaced with aluminum radius down length of both sides. Cabinet doors fell off, cut a length of wood dowel and put in hole, no prob since. Ripped driver, passenger seat, leaking windshield etc. Always a laundry list for the first year, use it as much as you can because you won't know you have a problem if the coach isn't used. get all you can done under warranty and enjoy. It helps to be handy or these things can get expensive. :-(
On a 4 week trip now and loving it.
