Changes I have made to my RV

We have a 2009 373ds which we bought new in March of 2010. Before that we had only tented. Since then we have spent altogether about 250 days in the motorhome and just love it.

Although the basic 3 living area layout of the 373 is what sold us, since then we have made a lot of changes to the unit to get it just the way we like it.

This summer we spent 4 1/2 months in the US Pacific Northwest (mainly Oregon and Washington) hitting 10 National Parks and 9 National Monuments.

Friends and family expressed interest in following what we were doing so we created a picture blog of our trip. If you are planning a trip to this area you might want to take a look.

They were also interested in what it was like to live in a motorhome for that long and some had been wanting to try RVing so I created a bunch of posts called "Life in the RV".

In them I talked about the various systems, but mainly of interest to people on this forum, I talked about and showed pictures of the changes we have made to our Georgetown.

Now, I still consider myself a neebie at this. Therefore some of the information may be dead wrong so if you see anything please let me know.

Since it was aimed at people that knew very little about RVing it is pretty basic but you might find some of it useful.

A great read. Looks like you got it all figured out with a lot of helpful pointers.

Thanks,

I bought a ScanGauge II. It's a great little box with all kinds of useful information including engine fault codes. You have to pick which 4 things you want to display. The display itself is a bit hard to see especially with sunglasses on.

I display:
speed - so I don't have to look down very far
mpg - slows me down
gallons used - so I know exactly how much to prepay at a fill up
distance to empty - how quickly to find a station
