Charger question

I have a question that I think I have figured the answer to, but I want to be sure...

The house batteries were a little low, so I plugged in shore power. I was surprised to see little change overnight. Eventually I figured out that the disconnect switch needed to be on in the "connect" position order to charge.

Is this an accurate assumption, or do I have another problem to solve?

You are correct. That disconnect switch does exactly that. Prevents discharge and charge, no pun intended.

Wow! Really? I was sure that my convertor overrode the disconnect switch and fed 12V to the coach even with the battery disconnect off. I also assumed battery charging was taking place with the switch off.

Guess I'll have to do some investigating.
