Chevy silverado as a toad

Does anyone know the requirements to tow a chevy Silverado 1500 4wd as a toad? Does it require any fuses to be pulled or any special requirements? What tow bar would you suggest I use?

Look in the manual. I can put the electronic transfer case in neutral and tow mine 4 down. You should be able to also. Doesn't spin the transmission that way. I don't know about a tow bar, you need one to handle the truck's weight.

I'm guessing that truck exceeds the 5000# threshold of all our GT.

A diesel pusher is the only MH I know that can tow a vehicle that heavy.

Yeah, I went to Camping World in Chattanooga to see about towing my Ford F-150, even at its lowest weight of 4860 pounds, CW nixed the idea. Too close to the 5k limit.

The issue here is the weight of the tow vehicle you are inquiring about. All of us who own Georgetowns, regardless of the different modesl, are probably equipped with the same towing hitch, which is limited to 5000 lbs. And that doesn't address the fact that a lot of people tend to also load the tow vehicle with "stuff" almost like a trailer.

You might really need to review your choice of tow vehicle for your motorhome. Most brands these days are Ford chassis with the same limitations.
