Clarion Backup Camera

I just took possession of my new 2015 Georgetown 378XLF. Is there anyway to program the back up camera so that it works while going forward? Mine only seems to work when motorhome is in reverse.

Thanks
Phil

Hit the menu button & then select camera from the touch screen

The 2015 is wired so that the power for the back up camera is only turned on when the vehicle is in reverse. When you first turn on you get a warning that it is illegal to watch camera while traveling.

Yes, if you wish it to work continuously, you will need a continuous power feed. It gets power from the back up lights.

My 2014 shows the warning when the head unit starts, but I can still select the camera option from the Clarion screen and see the rear view camera. that is the purpose of that input option.

So I can listen to Pandora, get nav instructions, and see the rear camera all while driving.

Right now I'm beginning to think that this Clarion system is a complicated piece of junk. I think I will add another stand alone backup camera and monitor.

It is actually a nice unit, it just has so many features, it can get confusing what does what. But it will support a second monitor for the BU camera

Is it much of a problem to hook in another monitor? I was thinking of a wireless back up camera and monitor.
