I replaced the battery's with dry cell and that stopped it until we left for TX. Now it on 90% of the time, it will be an extra long trip this year. I think it may have died, does anyone know what happens when they die? Thanks
CO2 detector doing off or do you mean the propane detector that shuts off propane coil? You mention you replaced batteries so I think you are talking about the gas/propane detector by your door.
If it goes bad it is bad you need to get a new one.
Now if you have a new Georgetown you may be able to contact the manuf and get a free one but I see you have not updated your profile so I have no idea what year, model Georgetown you have.
When mine went bad I disconnected it (Cut the 12v wire). No battery to replace but when it goes bad it alarms constantly. I read on the internet they only last a couple of years. And, you what they say; they can't put it on the internet if it not the truth.

RV's have CO detectors, not CO2.
are you sure it's not the propane detector?
this often happens when the RV battery is low.

It is the detecter by the step, I thought it was a co2 unit, but I guess not. It finally quit at 4:00 this morning! Bummer. I have a 2012 350 ts georgetown.
I think I have found the problem, when they filled propane just before i left for TX I dont think the overflow valve was completely tight. I turned it about 1/4 turn and that stopped the problem. Hope that is it!! Thanks to everyone for the input!!

It can also be caused by bad house batteries that gas out when being charged. Typically happens when plugged into shore power for several days and in the middle of the night when the door is not being opened/closed.
Yup it has been 24 hours, and 400 mi and no more problems. When Iggy pointed out it was a propane dector that got me thinking. Thanks for those who straightened me out on that! I as really tired of listing to the beeper!!!
