Cold Air Draft Bottom of the Slides

We own a 2016 364TS, purchased new. Weíre at the lake this week and the temperatures really dropped. Heat is on but you can really feel the cold air coming through at the bottom of the slides. I canít see a gasket on the bottom on any of the slides. Should there be a gasket and what solutions might you suggest.

Normally there is a slide bottom gasket installed you will have to go outside and look under the slide where the slide box meets the side of the rig to confirm if you have or don't. If not I would install one.

Foam pipe insulation works good.

Our GT5 has a seal on the bottom on the inside that moves with the slide. It might be worth checking to see if one is available for your model. Perhaps FR has added one to the current model year and you can retrofit it.

Was the 364TS replaced by the GT5 36B5? It looks pretty close except for the 36B5 not having a residential fridge.

Do you insert and remove the insulation each you use the slide?

Beach towels and fuzzy blankets are our solution for the bad draft that comes in the slide under our sofa. Yes, there is a gasket, and yes, you can see daylight around it with no fix. We push in the towels (around bed slide too) and wrap up our feet or sit with them up on sofa. That's why we headed out this morning for our warm winter home!!

On my ROO, I put foam with carpet over it to stop some of the draft. My draft was coming from the storage bin under the couch. Sure keeps the trailer warmer when you seal the gaps.

Slides

Thank you everyone. Our slides does have a gasket, however I'm thinking the foam insulation would be a great solution and easily removed. You're guys are best.

We use the 6 foot pipe wrap foam tubes. If you use checklists be sure to add their removal to it before you bring the slides in.
