Condensation
Does anyone have a condensation problem on their windows? It's when we first get up and open the shades until the sun burns it off and when we are cooking that it gets bad. We run the fantastic fan and crack some windows but it doesn't help much. Any ideas. Thanks, XL 378.

Try a dehumidifier. We found it is the only way to control condensation. Plus if your front window of the MH has condensation at night you could try using a small electric heater on the dash or even a small fan blowing across the window will help.

Crack the vents a little especially at night when you have the heater going. You need to release all that moisture inside the RV.

Hi Iggy, do you mean the two side windows or what vents are you referring too?

The ones in the kitchen ceiling and the bathroom ceiling.
You do have a Georgetown XL 378TS?
Hot air rises and will expel some of the moisture.
You also need to do this when it is raining for long periods.
Just crack them about 1 "

Left the shades up when we went to bed last night. When we got up the condensation was much better, only on the bottom third of the windows, but that just doesn't want to go away.

Tonight try leaving the bathroom ceiling fan on low to get the humidity out. No matter what you do you need to get that high humidty out or it will destroy things in side. When I store my rig I leave the vents open in the ceiling to move the air. Some people buy that white pellets that soak up the moisture when stored.

I know I need to get the moisture out. I will try that tonight, thanks. Do you know why the gray tank always reads one third when I empty it?

Bad sensor or you just need to fill it up full before you dump.
I always try to fill up both black and gray a few times at a campground and really flush out the tanks. By any chance do you put grease down thes kitchen sink. That can cause build up. You also can buy some stuff to try and wash out the tank but I figure yours is too new for any build up.
If it still doesn't read correctly I'd forward it to your dealer to fix.

We do not put any grease down at all. I know pouring hot water down the black tank helps, maybe I will try doing that down the sink also.

We have winter camped all last winter and the only way to get rid of the condensation is a dehumidifier. You have to get rid of the moisture before you start getting mold growing in the corners and cupboards of your unit. Before the winter was over most people who were camping had dehumidifiers. The people who did not still had a moisture problem. The MH beside had so much moisture they had towel at the bottom of their front windows.

Did you have the vents open?
Did you have the heater running at night?
Did the humidity go down from previous days weather?
You see all these things could be factors
