Countertop Extension
Am I the only one who forgets that it's there, and gripes about the lack of countertop space?

Maybe my DW pulls ours out all the time for the extra space, she's even ironed on it.

ours was very flimsy! we had to put longer screws in to hold it in place, but we love the extra space

Ours is a one legged thing that hooks to the edge of the counter. It is very flimsy. It can't be mounted permanently due to shelves under it. Still thinking of ways to steady it up.

You are not the only one. In my minilite the countertop room is almost nil. I have a small counter extention that fits in front of the counter but it is not much and thanks I have the slide because without the slide this extention does not come with the trailer. The smaller the trailer the less countertop you have!!!

On my 2004 Georgetown XL the extension rattled so much in its down position that I put plastic tie downs in the hinge grooves. As a result we don't use it very much but we know it is there.

I have the solution for the counter-----------
I have the "FIX" for the loose counter extension. Have to make a picture or two to post.

This is my "FIX" for the loose counter
Pins came from Lowe's, drilled holes in brackets and female brackets in counter. After hooking the lips into the counter brackets, insert pins for a snug fit. Used stainless fishing leader for the pins to prevent loss.
The counter will not move once the pins are inserted. Make sure the flat brackets are in the counter brackets snug before drilling the holes.
