Cupboard with slide out wire baskets

2004 Georgetown 359 XL. Our cupboard had
a slide-out device with wire baskets hanging
off each side. We tried every configuration to
make it work. Just too much wasted space.
We took it out and installed shelves. WOW
what a difference. Lots more space.Attachment 193360

Attachment not working

Hello, love to see your mod on the cupboard - attachment isn't working though.

A lot of us made slide out shelves, or drawers if you will. There are quite a few pictures on line. Any way you do it is better than the old wire basket mess. That's the first mod we did on ours in 2011.

Good idea about the slides. I might put them on. We are living in ours while we are looking for a house.
Necessity brings out alot of ideas. I hope to find more on this site. Thanks

I did a similar mod on our '05 Surveyor. I found it difficult to reach items in the back of the shelf. A trip to Dollar Store four plastic baskets later problem solved.

Hey Iggy. Those look great. I wonder why Forest River went with the wire baskets and slide? I would think wood shelves would have been cheaper. Thanks.

They did start installing some similar ones in 2014 or 2015 after a few of us did it.
FR does review things here.
