Different channels with antenna

Anyone have a thought as to why my bedroom TV gets different channels as the living room TV? Both connected to the mushroom antennae, both have been individually scanned. I am in a fairly strong metro area, and not able to get ABC on either one? The booster is on.

Looking forward to a reply as well. Have the same problem. Since each individual TV is doing its own scan, it is likely something inherent in the manufacturer's software.

As an aside I just purchased a used 2015 Salem Hemisphere. When we were at our first campground they had cable, though the connection wasn't very good. Anyway, usually when you use your TV with cable you shut the booster off. I initially did that but when I scanned for channels I got maybe three back. Just for grins, I then turned the booster on, re-scanned and it came back with 20-something channels.

Maybe the signal is not strong enough and you need to add it manually.

What is the channel for ABC? The real Channel, not Virtual. It is possible if it is VHF the antennna may not work well enough to pick it up.

I'm interested too in that answer. I have a Toshiba in the living room and Vizio in the bedroom. The bedroom will normally receive a few fuzzy channels were the living room will get 5 times as many channels and much clearer???

I have the same issue on my rig using the mushroom antenna. Seems like the signal is weaker at that end due to the cable length. I have started using the amazon leaf style antenna that has a stronger amplifier and don't have the issue nearly as much.

I had to replace the connectors on the end of the cables both at the switch box and the TVs. FR uses a cheap connector. Go to Lowes and buy good connectors and a crimping tool.

Try checking all the boxs before scan and see if that will work. As far as the person with less or fuzzie channels it's either your splitter or connections.... There is a phone app that will show you the distance and tower location, you could just be on a wrong tower... But with a stationary mushroom type I don't think it will help come to think about it. I don't like the all directional antennas at all.

I would say that the "receivers" in the televisions are different. Even though you scan for signals on the same antenna the internal receivers are different and one may be more/less sensitive than the other. The signal scans will be different because each receiver is different.

That's my take anyway.

X2 Do they still call them tuners?????? (Probably not) If the were the exact same model and manufacturer I would question, but since they are not I am not surprised.
