Different channels with antenna
Anyone have a thought as to why my bedroom TV gets different channels as the living room TV? Both connected to the mushroom antennae, both have been individually scanned. I am in a fairly strong metro area, and not able to get ABC on either one? The booster is on.

Looking forward to a reply as well. Have the same problem. Since each individual TV is doing its own scan, it is likely something inherent in the manufacturer's software.
As an aside I just purchased a used 2015 Salem Hemisphere. When we were at our first campground they had cable, though the connection wasn't very good. Anyway, usually when you use your TV with cable you shut the booster off. I initially did that but when I scanned for channels I got maybe three back. Just for grins, I then turned the booster on, re-scanned and it came back with 20-something channels.

Maybe the signal is not strong enough and you need to add it manually.

What is the channel for ABC? The real Channel, not Virtual. It is possible if it is VHF the antennna may not work well enough to pick it up.

I'm interested too in that answer. I have a Toshiba in the living room and Vizio in the bedroom. The bedroom will normally receive a few fuzzy channels were the living room will get 5 times as many channels and much clearer???

I have the same issue on my rig using the mushroom antenna. Seems like the signal is weaker at that end due to the cable length. I have started using the amazon leaf style antenna that has a stronger amplifier and don't have the issue nearly as much.

I had to replace the connectors on the end of the cables both at the switch box and the TVs. FR uses a cheap connector. Go to Lowes and buy good connectors and a crimping tool.

Try checking all the boxs before scan and see if that will work. As far as the person with less or fuzzie channels it's either your splitter or connections.... There is a phone app that will show you the distance and tower location, you could just be on a wrong tower... But with a stationary mushroom type I don't think it will help come to think about it. I don't like the all directional antennas at all.

I would say that the "receivers" in the televisions are different. Even though you scan for signals on the same antenna the internal receivers are different and one may be more/less sensitive than the other. The signal scans will be different because each receiver is different.
That's my take anyway.

X2 Do they still call them tuners?????? (Probably not) If the were the exact same model and manufacturer I would question, but since they are not I am not surprised.

Sensitivity of different brand tuners. Also, check to see if one line is split after the plate. A splitter usually has a 3-4 dB loss per port. One line from your plate may be split to feed outside TV, etc

My mushroom is able to rotate some on the pedestal. Is it supposed to? Can turning it clockwise tighten it? How is it attached to the pedestal?

Digital TV signal
There could be a couple different things going on. Digital TV's use UHF band. Signal strength could be affected by the different length of cable from the antenna for one TV and the other. Also, the TV receivers could be different. One with a wider bandwidth would capture more of the signal and one with a more powerful amplifier would do better as well. It's just the nature of the beast.

I found the same thing on my Crusader between the LR and the BR. What I found, was some of the coax insulation was still covering the coax conductor in the connection going into the wall in the LR coax. Therefore, almost none of the signal was getting to the TV. As soon as I scraped that away, that TV went from 6 channels to 38.
Check your coax connections.

I agree with Martsing.
I have an Insignia in living room, Jensen in bedroom, and Panasonic outside.
I hit scan for cable or OTA (whatever I'm using) and they all get different stations. It's gotta be the tuner within that decides what channels you finally get.
Go figure.

I was wondering about this today. My inside TV receives 36+ channels during a scan. But my outside set up gets 12 at best. So I decided to test my hunch on this. I moved my Furrion back inside and scanned. Outside it got 12 channels, inside it got 39 channels. Only difference that I can come up with is I am sure the booster is working on inside set up, not sure it boosts outside hook up.
I run a Dish tailgater for inside TV, 36 channels is thru antenna not Dish. I want to run HDMI cable from outside TV mount to my Dish receiver inside, then I don't care what antenna picks up.

reception
Every tv has diff. reception specs. If you scan once then turn the ant. then do a rescan add you should eventually get most of the same channels.

I'd like to know how you turn a mushroom ant.
