Found this in the Berkshire thread area but it also pertains to anyone who has a Dometic refrigerator. Good information
Original Message
We have a 2011 Berkshire 390RB-360 motor home and were experiencing a problem with our Dometic RV Refrigerator. The refrigerator cooling had shut down and displayed an error code E3. When I contacted an RV service representative they said a common problem and a reset pushbutton at the rear of the refrigerator may need to be reset. They could not tell me where to actually locate this reset pushbutton.
I contacted Dometic service via email and within a couple of hours they provide a professional and accurate response that allowed me to get the refrigerator functioning again.
For your information here was the solution to the problem should you experience this common problem.
If you are facing the back of the refer just above the burner there is a heat limit switch on the boiler with a reset button in the center.
It is about the diameter of a quarters and there is a red button in the center.
Push it. this is a heat limit switch. In real hot weather it might pop turning the unit off.
Are the fans still working?
Are the vents clear?
Anything that will cause the unit to get hotter than normal might pop the heat switch.
We appreciate this opportunity to address your situation, and hope all your future travels are trouble free. Please do not hesitate to contact us any time, to order parts or if we can be of assistance.
