Door Restraint

We have been loading the coach with everything out of the old coach. In the process I noticed that the door restraint does not look very strong. We will be heading to Kansas and with that wind in Kansas this looks to me like the system will fail. Has anyone strengthened the system and if so how?
Maybe mounted a strap to hold on to the door so it does not get away.

I built a door stop out of PVC and use that on our 378 and it stops the door at a90 degree angle. The top is approx. 6-8 inch and goes between the slide out and works great. I did not glue it so you can fold the legs and put it in the basement. Can't get pic the motorhome is in storage but I will try here soon.

Thanks for the pictures. I don't have a slide that the door will open into. Mine will hit the awning support. I was going to put a rubber insulator sleeve on the awning support when we were camping. I was more concerned when we stop for fuel or walk dogs. The wind will push the door more than 90 deg. I don't think that the stop will hold.
