Double front sun screens

We are in Florida for a month and I bought the Magna shades and will be installing them today. I will let you know what I think. In addition to installing them on the windshield and side from windows I also had them made for the two long windows by the dining table and the back bedroom window.

We converted our front single day shade to the double day/night shade (electric) and the driver and passenger windows (manual). We loved them so much, we then ordered them for all the other windows to replace the pleated shades. They are awesome!!! And dealing with Ron at Shade-Man was a pleasure. We did the wiring and the installation ourselves. Shade-Man Roller Shades | Shade-Man Roller Shades

Hi Robin
Do you remember what it cost for the front double?
I think I like the beige with the charcoal sunscreen.
What colors did you get and do you like the colors?
I also see they will be at the FROG rally in Goshen in August as a vendor.
Thanks

Hey Iggy,

The cost for the electric day/nite shade for the front window was listed as $749 on their website back when we ordered ours. However, we only ordered the day shade. We used the existing night shade that was already installed, but removed it and put it on the new bracketry which came with the day shade. We had to add a new toggle switch to our dash and do some wiring and modification to the side panels, etc.

Our color combo is Chestnut for the day shade and Suede for the night shade. I am pleased as punch with the colors and really like the chestnut (a dark brown) instead of the common black day shades.

I think this is a link to the page that has some pics I posted when we did the mod: FR3 Pictures of Mods

Hope this helps!

Motorized Shades

Just had these done at Bradd and Hall in Elkart about a week ago. Replaced the curtain in the front with the Charcoal day screen and the tan night screen (motorized). Also replaced the pleated night shades (we didn't have day/night in our 2006 340TS). They used the AMS (Auto Motion Shade) brand

http://www.automotionshade.com/English/Index.aspx

The motorized front shades was right at $650 plus installation. They also put a wood valence stained to match the rest of our woodwork in the front as well to help hide the rollers and installed the up/down buttons on the dash.

We also did the drivers and passenger, dinette and couch windows also (they were about $150 - $200 each). There is a significant difference in how well they block heat from getting in with both down during the day.

Total bill was $1800 for all installed, but they can be done yourself saving approx. $600.

Hope this helps.
