I ordered larger suction cups off ebay for my shade; the supplied ones were just to small for my liking. Both shades are see through from inside but not from outside during daytime. The front roller shade has to be lowered for night time privacy. I know your original question is about the MCD dual shades and all I know about them is, they are really expensive but can be installed by anyone including whatever switches might be needed. One other thing; because the suction cup types are mounted on the windshield they also aid in preventing sun damage to the dash. Maybe not a big deal.
We have the RV quickshade 1 piece wide version, it attaches with suction cups. I can put it up in about 3 minutes by myself after the first time when you have to lay out the suction cups. They attach permanently.
We also go the side version for the front driver and passenger side windows. We had to cut them off to the correct length, but they work awesome too. One of my favorite mods.
