I saw a couple at Northern Tools but they're as expensive as the price quoted above.

I found a 30 amp flat power retractable reel for $299.

At risk of imposing on him,I think Turbs would have info on this.

Here is a link to a hose reel I purchased at Harbor Freight. If you read the reviews you will see where someone added sides to it which is what I am in the process of doing.

100 Ft. Steel Air Hose Reel

I agree that some of the info on the net is good and true, but he reel you have listed here is not heavy enough to handle a long 30 amp or most any 50 amp cable for any amount of time, I have used those reels and they do not hold even for the air hoses they are intended for. Like all things in the world "you get what you pay for" Happy Camping

I have seen these reels in motorhome and trailers alike, and the reason you do not see them to often (unless a real high-end coach) is there are not cheap! To have a good real that will last more than a couple of pulls you will spend a minimum of $300 dollars and that is a lot of money for the so-called hassle.
Yes i fully understand they are nice (wish I had them in my 5th wheel also) but they take up a lot of room (they need to be permanently mounted) and expensive, so I will be waiting like many to hit the lottery and pay for the high-end MH that has them installed from the factory Happy camping

Since the Harbor Freight reel does not meet silverback 35ts's standards perhaps this reel which is considerably less than $300 will provide a solution. I will keep trying to give the OP options.
