Faux leather problems
The faux leather fabric on our front captains chairs and on our sofa has broken down very badly. We have a 2008 Georgetown 357QS and i have not contacted FR since we are over the warranty period, maybe I should contact Mike Burns about this poor quality issue.

our 2008 373 is the same way. Really lousy quality. We have only had 4 or 5 trips since we bought it a year and a half ago, and it was almost unused before we bought it. There's no way it should be falling apart like it is....

What a coincidence as I have had my RV for 3 years now and the same thing is happening to my furniture. The finish on the faux leather is wearing away. I did contact Forest River and they will not cover it. I have an extended warranty and they will not cover it either. I am debating on either having it reupholstered or buy new furniture. I've found "Discount RV Furniture" online and may buy new from them.
I have talked to an RV Mobile tech who said that it was rare to have problems with the faux leather.

Thats what i expect from your "extended warranty"
very few people get anything from them.
There good at selling the policys
and very good at not paying claims.

RV Jag,
We've had the same problem in the same amount of time. The leather is basically rubbing down to nothing in some spots. The chair is fine but the sofa and passenger and driver seats are having this problem. FR wouldn't do anything for us so we are preparing to buy new furniture. We are full timers but not hard on the furniture. We should not be having this problem. We've heard this problem is rare but not sure what has caused it.

I was very lucky that the dealer swapped my couch out with my 06 bounder. This couch is flex steel and is wearing very well . I told the dealer that I could not deal with the blow up bed. On the front seats I put seat covers and that solved that problem. After owning several other coaches I could see that the furn. on this one was crap.

I purchased new sofa cushion covers from Forest River at a cost of $120. I was offered replacements for the captains chairs at $355. but FR could not get me a quote on shipping cost. I decided to wait on the captains chair replacements, Discount Van Truck offer chairs at around $350 with a shipping cost of $46 each, and you can choose many fabrics as well as "faux leather", I will probably buy there.
