Driver passenger seat cover replacement

This topic has been talked a lot lately about bad faux leather cover seats but one thing I can't find out is how hard is it to replace the originals. Mine were turning bad after 21/2 years and FR are sending a new set. Anybody replace them before and if so how hard/ easy is it to replace or should I just get an expert to work on that.

I just replaced the driver/passenger seat covers with ones I ordered from Williamsburg. It was a lot easier than I thought. You'll need a set of hog ring pliers ($10.00 at Home Depot) and some heavy weight spray adhesive. I flipped the seat upside down on a bench and took a lot of pictures with my phone just in case, but didn't really need them. The old covers came off easy and the new ones slipped right on. The only minor challenge was getting the spray adhesive all the way up into the into the seat cover on the front to hold the cover against the foam. A little stretching to get the spray can up there and it went smoothly. Pulled everything tight and secured with the hog rings underneath. I pulled a couple of the rings and redid them on the first seat but the second one went without a hitch. I went to an upholstery shop and they wanted $150 to install both covers. I did it for about $15.00 in 2 1/2 hours.

Thanks from me as well. I am waiting for new covers for the couch and euro chair as well. Expect that I will need a staple gun as well as the hog ring pliers for the couch.

Good info, seems I will be receiving a complete new interior. Captains seats, Euro chair and couch covers. My unit is a 2011 378F., my kudos to Forest River for standing behind their product. Now I just have to install it all.

Did they tell you that they will send cover for euro chair, because that chair is no longer being made.

Any auto seat cover shop can recover your seats.

Seat covers

What was your process to get FR to send replacement covers? I have a 2013 Georgetown that needs the drivers chair cover.
Thanks for any guidance,
Rick

Yes, Forest River is providing new upholstery for the Captains Seats (both) Couch (sleeper air bed sofa) and the Euro chair and ottoman. There was some confusion on the part of FR as the chair is no longer made but Williamsburg explained to them that the cover can be provided. Cover for Euro Chair-is $125.00, FR is picking up all cost for covers, I will have to have them installed or do it myself. Since I have extensive experience in auto and marine interior design and installation it should be no problem.

Jim, who did you talk to? I dealt with Williamsburg and got a new drivers seat as the hog wire frame came loose and stabbed my left arm. FR would not discuss it, i now need passenger cover and euro chair. thanks in advance

Seat tags

Guess I am going blind, where are the tags located under the seats? I have not seen any under the driver or passenger seat. I must be looking in the wrong place, even my son looked for me.

I only found the tag on the Euro chair and ottoman, none on the couch or captains chairs, I sent in a picture of the couch and captains chairs and of the tag on the Euro chair, they had no problem identifying the correct covers. Hope that helps, good luck.
