on the Ford site it says that on the 2011 f53 chassis you can select outside temp and mpg. i only get miles to empty
What do you get and how?

I don't have it in front of me, so I can't give you steps to take, but I can tell you that I get MPG or temp or miles to empty when I toggle through. So, I'd say the Ford site is correct (as least as it pertains to my unit).

You've got the only one with mpg on it that I've heard of. I just toggled thru all of mine to be sure. I've seen 5 Georgetowns 2011 and newer and none have mpg, only miles to empty. The manual states: mpg (if equipped), so I guess its an option. I purchased a Scan Gauge which connects to the OBDII and gives just about any piece of information you need on your engine from avg. mpg, instant mpg, rpm, engine temp, engine hp and many more, including trip info. It displays four different guages at a time and you pick which ones. It takes about 15 minutes to install and most of that is reading the manual. Its pricey at $160 but also has all the OBDII codes and can remove the check engine warning. I think its well worth the money. Besides we all need our toys.

Mine (which is the same as yours) has Outside Temp, Miles to Empty, Eng Hours and Trip Odometer (No MPG). You can toggle through them with the "Info" button to the right of the display.

That's what I get for writing without having verified it first. I felt certain I had MPG. Perhaps I don't. But I do have several choices to flip through (distance to empty, outside temp, etc...). I'll check it when I have a chance.

It's doing fine, but ice on the driveway and in the street has kept it in the driveway the last couple months. I did have a pair of skid wheels installed because the skid bars were actually bent by bottoming out at the bottom of the driveway.

between 7 & 8 ,at least that what we get towing a 2011 jeep 4dr wrangler
i got the same on my 2009 holiday rambler "c" another way to look at is i really get 15 mpg ,7 in the city and 8 om the hi-way
