Drivers seat

We just bought a used 2012 georgetown 360 and we can't get the driver's and passanger's seats to swivle around to face the living area. They both turn a little ways and get hung up on the steering wheel or side of the coach. Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

I don't have any problem with my passenger side, but drivers side is a challenge. I put the arms up and move the steering wheel out of the way as much as possible. There is still interference, but I can muscle it all the way around.

I work for a aircraft completion center, we manufacture custom interiors on private jets. To swivel the seats in these jets you have to track the seat to clear surroundings in the cabin this would hold true for your RV as well. When you swivel the drivers seat you would have to track the seat towards the rear of the coach as you approach the steering wheel and make sure the backrest is full upright position and armrest are up. I have made a fair amount of money reupholstering captain seats when people forget that and don't pay attention to their surroundings. biggest being running the slide into the seat or swivel and catch the wall damaging the back of the seat.

I thought the same thing, but someone here posted the procedure to turn the driver's seat around. I can't remember exactly but it went something like: steering wheel all the way up, left arm rest down, back rest all the way up, and can't remember if seat had to be all the way forward or back...that did it for me for the driver's seat. The passenger was pretty easy.

I find that my drivers seat can be swiveled if I start the engine and allow the seat to turn the steering wheel. When complete, turn the wheel back and kill the engine. Repeat the procedure to put it back for driving. Works for me....

I too have a Georgetown 360. Managing to turn the driver seat around takes a bit of work. Steering wheel all the way up, and lifting the chair arms, tilting the back, and manipulating the power seat back and forth, while you rotate it. Just be careful not to hang up on the levelizer panel, or the steering wheel. Take your time. I have to say for all the work, unless you have a lot of guests over... it's not really worth the effort.

My 2005 GT drivers seat swivels quite easily. You do have to slide and tilt things around a lot but I don't have power seats so that may make it easier.

That said, it is such a hassle that we only turn it when we are going to be staying put for a while (like 3 months in FL).

Over the years when this topic is brought up...........the discussion is always the same. Some models, the driver's seat does turn, some don't. I think everyone has to just try their specific arrangement. There doesn't seem to be an EXACT position where the driver's seat post is mounted during assembly, and some turn.....some won't.

As the saying goes........."Your mileage may vary"
