Just had to do this on my elk hunt last week. I did purchase a 120V pump and tried to transfer water from the water jugs to the motor home thru the normal water fill. There must be a check valve in the system because my pump would not transfer the water. I ended up using the vent hose from the top of the tank to transfer with. I don't care to do it this way because it also pressurizes the fresh water tank. Looking for a different option.
The pump has to be strong enough to overcome the spring in the anti-backflow valve, and to lift the water about 3' in most MoHo's.
The little Harbor Freight stainless steel unit, about $35-40, and most Shurflo's work fine.
The anti-backflow valve is incorporated with the water inlet on most GT's. They use the same inlet for city, fresh water tank, and black water rinse.
