Dry Camping Water Problems

Everyone I am having an issue I hope somebody can help me solve.
I just had my Georgetown Dewinterized and am getting ready to take it on a trip where I will be dry camping for a number of days. The problem is I am not getting water from the fresh water tank when I turn on the pump and open all the faucets. I hooked it up to the city water and it works fine. I turned off the city water and when I tried again using the tank the water that was in the lines worked fine until they ran out and I'm back to no water. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

I'm just throwing out a suggestion or two. When you have water in your on-board tank, and then double check that you do have the water pump switch turned on at the control panel, check a couple of things.


When you turn on the water pump switch, does it light up? This is only part of the circuit for the pump to work. The switch could still be working but the lamp in the switch is burnt out.


Secondly, when you open any of the taps.......kitchen or bathroom, listen carefully. You should hear the pump running as it builds pressure to pump the water. It should also make a sound when you flush the toilet, but it may be harder to hear.

Don't know if the Georgetowns have the 3 way valve that suctions from an anti-freeze bottle, but if so, then make sure that valve is set correctly.

On my 350 there is a valve near the fresh water tank in the propane compartment , they switch it to winterize. Good luck

I had a similar problem with ours after starting it up this spring. I got quite frustrated but finally took the inline filter off of the inbound side of the pump. I found algea and slime had plugged the filter completely. Needless to say, sterilized the entire system. Flushed the freshwater tank several times. Works great now!!

Thank you everyone for your replies. They were a big help. With all your help I was able to rectify the problem. It was the valve that had been turned to the off position. Your replies are what makes this forum so great.
