I have half electric on the inside of my 2004 Georgetowne motorhome. I replaced one contactor in the power supply box, it was not engaging.......and now it's the same......any ideas?????

Is this when connected to shore power, or on generator as well? It could be as simple as that you've tripped a GFCI that feeds several outlets. Or is this affecting hard-wired appliances as well?

It's not a GFI, it's not a breaker inside. I have two contators where the electric supply comes into the motorhome, one is energized by the plugger going down and the other is not which I assume feeds part of the motorhome.

It's unlikely that the 50-amp service is split across two contactors. That's probably a generator transfer switch.

You didn't answer my question, but I would start by checking that you have the proper voltages in the pedestal outlet. It should measure like this:

You still have to answer some basic questions.
1. Using a volt meter what voltage do you get from the big black wire to the white wire? (Should be 115 volt)

2. Using a volt meter what voltage do you get from the big red wire to the white wire? (Should be 115 volts)

3. Using a volt meter what voltage do you get from the big black wire to the big red wire? (Should be about 208 to 220 volts)

After you verify these 3 questions with the proper reading come on back and tell us what you have found.

The voltage coming in is correct 115 volts on each leg....240 total, all is hot coming out of the first contactor, nothing coming out of the second contactor

I replaced the second contactor with one I bought off ebay, it may be bad too

Unless someone speaks up with Georgetown-specific info, I think it's time to take it to a dealer service tech.

I wish I could troubleshoot for you but my guess at the moment has to do with the generator circuit telling the second relay not to close. The small attachment to the side of the relay is a secondard contacts that close or open at specific times which allows the relay to close or open.
Like Barry has said I also feel it is beyond your ability to troubleshoot any further and you will need someone with more experience.

If you unplug shore power and start your generator do you get powe rinside the motorhome?
