Electric Fireplace Glass Rattle - MOD

After your 700 mile trip and heard the glass rattling in the fire place I decided to end that noise once and for all.

I removed the 4 screws that mounts the whole unit to the cabinet.
I them removed the right sidebar which is held in by 2 screws.
Slid the glass out and took some rood rubber electric tape and place a continued piece all the way around the four sides of the glass and folded the tape on the front and the rear evenly.

Slide the glass back in and put everything back to gether and no more rattling.

Just a few of the things I have tried too.
I did the same to my 2011 378. Worked well. I also found that by using 3 or 4 3" C clamps under the table on the sliding rails I could eliminate more rattles, as well as stopping most of the rocking of the table while eating.
I also put black electrical tape over the weep holes outside the front side windows when I am traveling on rainless days. Cuts down on wind noise. If it starts raining hard, probably smart to stop and pull them off so water doesn't accumulate in the tracks of the windows, or run down inside the wall.
Found a folding cup holder at Wallyworld that I screwed near the dash on the passenger sidewall so Rosemary had a convenient place for her soda.
My next project is installing a PCM 12V variable switch in the bathroom to give me speeds of the new ventilation fan previously installed. It works too well, and in noisy. Almost pulls the TP towards the fan!
Some people have mentioned weak steps. I always carry some 2x4's an assorted short lumber to place under the bottom step once set up. Stops the bounce.
Lastly, Bed Bath and Beyond carries some 3" LED battery puck lights that swivel. 3 in a pack, about $20. I have installed them on the basement doors or walls so I always have lights where I need them.
