Electrical Issue in Georgetown

Gee you guys. My Georgetown uses a 50 Amp Service or only half of the things work. Like only one Air Conditioner. The 50 Amp Service provides 110 Volts on each leg of the Plug.

If I understand you correctly, you are saying from hot to ground is 110 volts and neutral to ground is also 110 volts? If so it sounds like you have a hookup problem and it will fry most appliances and electronics in your coach.
Are you uses an EMS system of any kind?

So,you're saying if you use a 30 amp adapter you have a dead leg??? If so your adapter is bad.

So, 240 volts across the hot and neutral terminals (legs) of the plug receptacle?

Seems you don't realize a 50a service is TWO hot legs , a neutral and a ground.

I do understand how it is wired up. I just don't understand the OPs comment on 110 volt of each leg from a 110 receptacle or from the service pole. I'll try rereading his posts again.

Sorry, I thought you were trying to get verification of your statement... you were actually asking the OP a question.
My bad.

That's cool. No harm done. This is the down side to posts. Too bad we just can't sit around the camp fire and discuss the issues. That's always more fun.

At the service pole or inside your RV?

Dave, your questions are a bit cryptic.

We are trying to understand what you are asking but your statements of just a few words do not make much sense.

If you are saying you are hooked up to a 50a service and only half of the things in your rig works then you have a power problem somewhere.
A 50a service provides TWO legs of 120v into your rig.

You have to start with the basics...
Are you connected to a 50a service?
Do you have a meter? (and know how to use it?)
Have you checked power at the pedestal with a meter?
Have you checked breakers?

If you are saying you are connected to a 30a service with a 50/30 adapter and only half your outlets work, then you have a bad adapter as was mentioned.

Give us a little something to go on and someone will be sure to help.
See the wiring schematics I posted earlier in the thread.

On the other hand... maybe you aren't asking a question at all and simply making a statement?

I think that if you draw your plug, show your voltage measurement, everyone here could give you a better answer.

110 and 120 is the same thing. Please explain what you are doing to only have 1/2 of your electric service when using 30 amp hook up.

I read this to say: Unless I use my 50 amp hook up only 1/2 of the things work.

He seems to understand a 50 amp service. I think he has one of those defective adapters we have learned about in another thread.

Hopefully, he will answer and expound on his problem
