Ems

I am purchasing a new 353 Georgetown. Will be picking it up in about a week and a half. My questions is, does anyone have ems in their georgetown coach? The salesman told me that none of the manufacturers of these level of coaches have ems, but i did have it on the monaco monarch i am trading in. I guess i would like to know if it is something that would be necessary and can i add it aftermarket.

Okay..........I'm not up on all the TLA's out there, so I'll ask.

What's an ems?????? I have a Georgetown too, and I'm not sure if I've got one or not, and if I did, where would it be???????

You can get most of that information with a ScanGauge II, but you would need to call 1st to make sure it works with the Ford F53 chassis and V10s.

There is a GPS out there that will also monitor some engine functions.

Guys, I think he is referring to an Energy Management System, maybe? If so, the Georgetown does not come with one. It must be purchased after market, which I did.

Energy management system is correct. Sorry for the confusion.
Awall
where did you purchase it? Did you install it yourself? Was it worth the expense?

I use the model below. it is portable, but they have hard wired units available. And, yes I think they are worth the expense. After losing 2 32" TV's from a surge, this is well worth the money. I don't hook up without it.
