Enjoying a windy Easter weekend in Borrego Springs

We had this trip planned for sometime - Easter weekend at Anza-Borrego State Park. But it also turned out to be the maiden long range tow for our Jeep Wrangler. Last weekend I finally completed all of the tow equipment installation on the Jeep and the rig and did a couple of test tows to and from the RV storage facility.
Most everything went off without a hitch - no pun intended! Our Georgetown towed the Jeep without any problems whatsoever all the way from Long Beach to Borrego Springs. I did get us into a slight pickle when we pulled into our neighborhood Ralph's because we forgot to pick up our standard 2.5 gallon jug of fresh water at the store the night before. Had to disconnect the Jeep to maneuver out of the jamb - a lesson learned about turning radii and a toad.
Other than that and the strong gusty winds here in the desert it has been a great weekend. Now we know what freedom is like having a toad with us and we are no longer confined to camp. We took off this morning and went exploring and ended up in Julian, CA. Now we are relaxing back at camp enjoying an afternoon cocktail.
We are going to Ocotillo Wells off-road area to tomorrow and to the Salton Sea.
Happy Easter Weekend everyone!

Just the Rubicon. Did a little exploring. Would like to go back when it's not so windy - gusts up to 55 mph in Palm Canyon.
