entrance step issue

I have an '08 350dsse and the entrance step just quit working. The docs I have are almost non existent. It may be just a fuse, but not sure where it is. Thanks

The fuse on mine is in an inline blade fuse holder right off the battery terminal. Green wire if that helps but it may not be the same on yours.

Thanks, is there a way to manually retract the steps?

You might be able to disconnect the actuator and secure the steps in a retracted position.

I agree with RonHanson, it's the green wire with the in-line fuse in the battery compartment under the stairs. Be sure to check your fuse and follow the ground wire and make sure it has a good connection.
Is the light in the switch near the door illuminated?
Also be sure the door switch works. it's the one on the frame that makes contact by magnet when the screen door closes.
If the fuse is good and all connections are clean and making good contact as well as power going through both the lighted switch and door switch the only thing left unfortunately will be the motor. I belive there's a plug connection near the motor, check for power down to that connection. Let us know what you find.

I have the same motorhome and do have the paperwork for the steps. If you can't figure it out let me know and I will go get the paperwork from the motorhome...if I remember right there is a mechanical retract....good luck and let me know if you need more info!

Attached is the manual Paul referenced.
Found it on the LCI website. There is some good troubleshooting info and instructions on manual actuating the steps.
