Marine base is two miles straight down 32nd. Street from my place...love all the air traffic flying over!
The summer was very hot, but learned to love it for three months of the year as I'm tired of shoveling snow six months of the year!
This is my first winter here, but so far the weather has been perfect!
And the sunsets are awesome!
Took both of these shots from here:

As for the bracket on the wall above the door, I didn't want to drill holes all the way through the outside wall to the inside of the trailer (like I did on the door) so I used larger self tapping screws, which have held up so far.
Here is how I fixed the door bracket on my 5'ver...strong as can be now!

Thanks for the pics. Sending the bolts completely through the door is what I'm planning on doing with the strut (if I do it at all). Looking at yours, I might have to order a different bracket for the door with the 3 holes in a horizontal row. I ordered some stainless brackets last night but they have offsetting screws that probably won't all fit into the metal trim on the door.

HI All,
I also have a 2012 378TS and had the bracket coming loose from the top of the door.
What I decided to do is reinforce the top of the door with a galvanized piece of metal that would holdup.
I went to Home Depot and purchased a metal bracket for securing concrete to a wood beam.
Strong, Galvanized and the right width I needed.
I cut it to fit and bent it around the radius corner and secured it with long strong pop rivets that was long enough to penetrate the door frame at multiple points.
I then remounted the bracket to this plate with sheet metal screws.
Here is the result and is still solid as a rock after at least 2 years.
Hope this helps you.
Iggy

I think this is the strap I purchased and was the perfect width and is predrilled with holes.

That's some nice metal work. I don't own rivet tools but might have to change that!

Ha Ha Ha
Thanks Ken.
Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
Stay warm up there in the cold country.
It was a chilly day here in Arizona. Got down to 40 F this morning.
Had to wear a long sleeve shirt.

I just had the friction hinges replaced, on my TracerAir TT's entry door.
The lower hinge pin on the screen door broke. Apparently PrimeTime told my dealer that the whole door had to be replaced. It took over 6 months for it to get sorted out and repaired. PT sent the wrong door, then the wrong hinges.
And they didn't have a matching replacement door. So a blank door had to be painted to match and the decals created.
When I picked it up, the shop foreman told me that Lippert has stopped using the friction hinges, due to failure issues.

For the life of me I can’t figure out a more defective way they could have mounted these. When I get a chance, I am gong to have a friction hinge installed.

Is this bracket you're referring to? (picture below)
I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with my door. It's too butt cold out now to get motivated to work on it. My screen door goes almost completely to the bottom of the exterior door, so I'm doubtful there would be room for a bracket even though I wish that would work. I might just go with the simple cloth strap method (that another poster mentioned) instead of installing another strut.

That's the type of bracket I have on my door. The strut goes under the screen door. The is a brush sweep on the bottom of the screen for as well.

That's the bracket for the door mount. As stated it fits behind the screen onto the bottom of the door. Bracket on sill is a little more difficult to acquire if needed.
Strap is a good limiter for door opening and flying open.
Roll the dice for $7.99 and get out there and fix it. I believe you can return it if it doesn't work. Don't drill holes in door till you know all parts will work. Measure twice drill once.

LOL. Funny how "measure twice drill once" is only truly learned by experience!
My screen door gap/sweep at the bottom is only about 1/4". I've stared at it a few times to figure out how I could get a bottom strut to work...but might have to stare longer. The bottom struts I've seen have much larger screen door sweeps/gaps.

If you end up finding friction hinges that work for your rig, let us know! That sounds interesting.
