Extended Warranties

I'd appreciate any and all input on extended warranties. I'm looking at a couple now trying to compare them, Wholesale Warranty is one and the other is Interstate Star RV. If any one has either one of these I'd like to know your opinions, likes and dislikes especially. I'm also open to any other recommendations on other companies since experience is something I don't poses in this matter. Thanks for your help. Guy

Although I have not used it, I have the warrenty backed by Good Sam. I have read here and other forums many pros and cons. It seems alot of warrenties limit where you can get the work done. At least with GS the work can be done where ever your travels take you.

Have the Good Sam warranty as well. Haven't needed to use it, thank goodness, but as stated by cardinal4fun any work needed can be done as you travel. GS is affiliated with Camping World and their stores are located throughout the country. Many have repair facilities.

Sounds like your on the right track... I purchased the extended warranty offered by the dealer but when you read the fine print it most likely does not cover the Steps, Slides, Fridge, roof, or any other part that is most likely to need adjustment/tuning/service over the years. I get extended warranties on every appliance I own, and its paid for itself a couple times... Just be aware of whats insured and what is not.

We too bought the extended service plan backed by Good Sam for our 2005 359ts Georgetown XL. No need for it yet. (Fortunately)

The only down side I see is the high deductible but I keep thinking about the cost to replace the tranny or a set of hydraulic jacks. The plan seems to cover everything including the appliances.

The real bargain is the Good Sam road service. I get that for my MH and 2 autos for less than AAA with no limit on towing distance. Used it for a couple of minor things and it works great. Just don't get maps and AAA discounts.
