We are looking at the Georgetown 378XL. We will be going full time in a couple months, spending most of our time in the Western U.S.
Who should I buy an extended warranty through? A dealer or should I go through Good Sam? Who can I depend on? If I understand things right, Good Sam works with many different RV dealers. I just don't know who will give the better service. We know everyone has an opinion but need help here.

I would check what a dealer has to offer the call GS and do a check on the internet, choose which will benefit you the most. Enjoy the road and motorhome.
If you are buying new I wouldn't worry about it unit your initial warranty was coming to an end. May of your components now come with a two year warranty for the original owner.

If you are buying new I wouldn't worry about it unit your initial warranty was coming to an end. May of your components now come with a two year warranty for the original owner.

On our old unit ( we have now traded it in) we had a Good Sam extended warranty. I can tell you first hand they lived up to their reputation. The repair shop was my problem but GS paid off in style.
just in case someone asks, the Forest River 2nd year factory warranty, that you buy separately, only covers towables.
motorhomes do not have this available.

We have always had good luck with Good Sam. We just took one out on an 05 370 XL we bought. I figured I can keep it one year and at least have a little peace of mind since ours is going on 9 years old and it covers most items. The coach only has 15000 miles but there are a lot of things on it that I might not be able to take care of.
Ford's chassis warranty also includes roadside assistance. You don't need to pay extra for a roadside assistance plan. I have only used it one time, and the technician said he was dispatched by Coach-Net.
Plus 2 for Good Sam ESP! They have several levels of coverage, depending on your needs. I like the fact that you can contact their management team via their website if you were to have any questions/concerns about your coverage. Heck, I even took out the tire insurance because of the value in the policy.
