Five stars tuning

Anybody heard of 5 stars tuning? If so what do you think of it? Worth the money?

Yes. Don't currently have a tune but the F150 forum has loads of people that rave about the 5 Star tunes. These are guys that have tried several different tuners. If I were to buy a tune, that's the company that I'd buy from. I think they also offer a powertrain warranty.

I have look at one forum but as you mention most people have f150 and they sound happy. Just trying to have motorhome owner with a v10 input mainly if it is worth the money specially at 450$ U.S.

I've been researching a hit on this one. Not sold yet, but lots of good info on the forums about it I think I found it on the irv2 forum.

Just installed in my 2015 Georgetown xl 350 and it the best mod I have done . The rv is completely transformed and you would believe how smooth the transmission is now.

Worth every penny.

I was debating for many years with my sunseeker but when I purchased my new coach, I decided to take the plunge great product and we son customer service

Johnnya in Line with what I have been reading so far. Did you notice any fuel economy? Or is it just power and transmission that is most remarkable?

Well this is the 1 million dollars question. If you don't change your driving habits, I think you will be able to notice 0.5 to 1 MPG gain but if you accelerate harder ... There goes your economy. For my part 60 MPH is my driving speed and I never floor the throttle when I am still. I enjoyed a very nice and smooth shifting. So there is no magic there.

Have you noticed while at a particular speed if your rpms are lower.
At 60mph I'm usually at 2100-2200 rpms.
If you get more HP or torque your RPS should be a bit lower.
Have you seen any difference?

I might be wrong but hp and torque will not have an impact of rpm. Final gear ratio inside the differential will.

You will reach your desire speed faster but rpm will be the same. Again not a mechanic so I might be wrong here.

Don't have a Georgetown but have the Coachmen Pursuit with the V-10 engine. I just installed the 5 star tuner on the coach about 1 month ago and have two short trips with it. The first trip was approximately 1 hour each way the second was a 25 minute trip each way.

The biggest thing is the shifting is much smoother. The transmission is not down shifting at every small little hill. The RPM at say 65 mph is no different than before. The unit seems to shift up trough the gears much faster. Have not driven enough to refill the gas tank.

Would have loved to have had it installed back in March for the trip from WNY to FL and back. Hated the 4000 to 5000 rpm on hills.

Was able to get in on a group purchase over on IRV2 forums.

I did it for the shift point changes. May be getting .5 mpg better. Pulls the hills like it should.

Can anyone tell me what this does? I too have a Motorhome and dislike the high rpm's with the shift patterns. Is that what the X5 addresses?

I have had mine for about 10,000 miles and it is worth every penny. There is a slight increase in horse power, and torque but best of all it adjusts the shift points. No more downshifting from 5th to 3rd and taching at 5000 rpms. We travel from RI down the east coast and never tach over 3000 rpms. Worth the money.

Made the purchase for a 5startuner. Having trouble finding the PCM code. Anybody with a 2015 Georgetown 364TS that can help? I've looked at the pics on the website and also looked on the interior firewall.
