Fresh Water Fill on Georgetown 351

As I stated before, new to Class A and I was filling my fresh water tanks to sanitize with diluted bleach solution. Attached the hose to the fresh water tank side to fill. Gauge inside consistently reading almost empty and then water started to flow out from hose directly alongside the low level drains.

First any ideas on why the gauge on the panel continued to read E?

Next, why was the water flowing out so fast? Is this the location of the overflow? And did I start the water siphoning action by overfilling the tanks and then causing the water to continue to flow?

Anyway, advice please.

You may have built up some internal pressure if the overflow can't let the water out as fast as you put it in. I have read about some folks that fill their tanks slowly to assure they don't "overfill". That said, I have never had that problem. I just turn off the water as soon as I see overflow happening. As for siphoning, it usually stops as soon as the water level drops below the vent.

As to the indicator light: The indicator might have a broken wire not connecting the sensors. These light units are notoriously poor. I can see my water level by looking in the water pump compartment.

Thanks for the responses. Can you tell me where the fresh water drain is located? Sounds like a goofy question but I cannot locate it in the manual. Thanks again.

On my 350 there are 3 hoses in the same location as the low point drain. One is the low point drain with a srew in plug, one is the fresh water tank drain with a screw in plug and one is the fresh water overflow which does not have a screw in plug. Hope that helps. Good Luck!
