Front end alignment

Picked up my new 2009 georgetown 373 a few weeks ago and as suggested I am taking it in for a front end alignment.

The only close place I could find mainly does large trucks.

Will they just know the setting to use for the motorhome?
Can anyone tell me what the settings should be?

Those numbers would be found in a shop manual for the F53 chassis which you would have to buy. Just like a car it isn't really important for you to know them since you don't have the equipment to measure anyway, only that the shop does. Shops that handle the big rigs will or should know what do to. I wouldn't worry about it.

The place that did mine also a truck place, had a computer printout that they gave me after they aligned it. It showed the factory settings, the current settings, and the new corrected settings. Good for you to get it aligned. I found out after I noticed tire wear after a 4000 mile trip on my new 315 DS SE. It was off quite a bit new from the factory. Left front tire lost half its tread in 5000 miles The #'s should be in the computer or the equipment that they use to align it. I cannot imagine them using #'s they pull out of thin air. An F53 chassis is pretty common.

Ford Truck in Richmond did mine. It was done when it was new and I have had no problems with the stearing since we bought it. it has 19,000 on it now and the tires are running true.

There are advocates on other forums out there that insist the caster be set to 4.5 degrees or more on an F53 which will help stability. I have no idea what factory specs are but it might be worth talking to an expert about.

Just had my front end alignment checked when I had the shim removed. The repair center found it towed 1/32" in, which is within factory specs. I haven't noticed any wear on the front tires. I guess they did it prior to it leaving the factory.
Best part FR paid for it as well as having the shim removed.

Just back from the alignment.
Just the caster on the right tire was a little high. (5.7)
Everything else was within the min/max allowed values.
Now
Castor 0.6
Camber 4.9
Toe in 0.02"
