Front end alignment warrantied?

Does any one know if you can get your MH front end aligned under warranty?
Ours has 3900 miles on, bought in May. Today we went down to do some maintenance and cleaning and I noticed the outside of the front tires were threadbare.
If any one could help me out with an answer I would greatly appreciate it.
If you could possibly point me to someone at FR and a phone nnumber that would be even better.

Thanks in advance

Yes, and they should replace your tires as well. I'm assuming it is less than 12 months in service. I'd start with the dealer where you purchased it.

Thanks much for the insight. We bought it in May of this year, I will call the dealer tomorrow and get the ball rolling.

Thought maybe someone had a direct contact number/name with FR

Thanks again

I had my front end aligned 1 month after purchasing it in May. My dealer told me that Forrest river would pay for it for the first 3 months. They did. It drives great. They had to adjust caster, camber and toe in. Cost 179.00. The alignment also fixed the steering wheel not being center.

Just called the dealer and they gave me Forest Rivers number to call and get authorization. I am waiting for them to call me back.

Did you have to get the tires replaced as well and the $179.00, was that your cost or the cost Forest River paid?

Front end alignment

That's what Forrest River paid me. The total cost of the alignment. I had to email the invoice to my dealer.
Had it done at 1500 miles. The unit only had 139 miles on it when we bought it.
The tires showed a very small amount of scalping. We now have 4500 miles on it and the tires show no scalping. I think we caught it in time. We did not have to replace the tires.
I really think the dealer or Forrest river should notify the customer to check the alignment. I didn't think much about it till I read this forum on the issue.
What gave me a clue that the alignment was off was the fact that it drove terrible going down the road. A lot of wandering and tail wagging. Hard to keep tracking straight.
I contacted my dealer and he contacted Forrest River for me. I will say it took 4 weeks to have the check issued. I think it was the rally that delayed it.
I think Forrest River or the dealer should buy you new front tires since any new vehicle should not have an issue like that when you buy a new vehicle.

I really hadn't noticed much on the tracking and tail wagging, but the steering wheel is off kilter....really didn't think much of that either, until yesterday when I looked at the tires. These tires look scarey, there won't be any long distance runs until it's fixed. I will need new tires on the front.
I agree about the notification, same here, really didn't give it much thought until I found this forum

I looked up where you are, my coach is not that far away from where you are....it's in Mabank. What dealer did you use to get the aligment done?

Front end alignment

We used Goolsbee Tire in Tyler. They got us right in when they opened up that Monday morning.
He was very knowledgeable. Took about an hour because of the steering wheel issue. He had to adjust either the caster or camber in order for the steering wheel to go back to center. Also the toe in was way off which cause the tracking issue.
You are welcome to call me if you like. Private message me and I will reply with my phone number.
We bought our unit in Grand Rapids MI. Saved a bunch of money.
The dealer here in Tyler was nice but didn't want to come down on the price.

Push Forest River for new tires. I'd send them photos.

They need to call me back first, but it's only been a little over an hour. If they give me any grief about it, you can bet they willl get pictures and what ever else they may need.

If I don't hear back from them today, they will get another call tomorrow and so on.

Them being a tire shop would probably have the tires as well, two birds with one stone.
I can tell the tow in is way off just due to the way the tires are worn.
Let me here back from Forest River and I may try to call you and get all the particulars on the tire shop.

I am assuming they were recommended by Forest River?

No they were not recommended.
My dealer told me to find a good place to have it done.
Took a few calls but I found a few.
Goolsbee has been around for quit a while and good people.

I wasn't given Aprils number, I have heard she is great with customer service. I was given the number to a guy named Mitch
If you have Aprils number, I will give her a call.

Now I am in touch with April, the original number was to the diesel plant. They did call back and hooked me up with the Geortgtown plant....so now I have left a message with April.....based on what everyone has said about her, I feel much better about getting things taken care of

Just spoke with April, very nice lady. She gave me authorization to get the front end aligned (up to $250.00)
She will have to have pictures of the tires to send up to her supervisor for approval, in order for them to pay.
I have to get new front tires regardless, that is not debatable.
