Front License Plate

New owner of a Georgetown XL 378TS. Where have others mounted the front license plate, I have no provision for one.

Check your local law, most places it is illegal to have the front plate in the window.

I keep mine in the little storage compartment next to the drivers seat. Taking my chances because I don't want to drill any holes in the front cap. If I get stopped I will plead my case and if that fails I will pay the fine. Most state troopers are far more interested in speeders than checking the front of a vehicle for a plate. They would have to look at the the front and then look at the back to verify it needs a front plate. No if you are already stopped for a violation they might add the no place one to the stop. I am willing to take my chances.

Texas is a 2 plate state. My previous MH had a designated plate area molded in the front cap and I installed a plate. However; the plate said BUBBLES on it not a TX state plate. Never had an issue for the 10 plus years it was on there. I have a GT 378 now and no plate on the front. I have never heard of anyone ever being stopped, not saying it doesn't happen, for not displaying a front plate in TX. Someone may have been stopped for another reason and the plate issue brought up but also believe that a warning and not ticketing for no plate would be the norm for a MH with no designated plate area. I believe the police have more on their "plate" than pulling someone over for no front license plate. I do carry it in a storage compartment.

Your dealer should have installed a bracket for a front plate. Mine did after I asked.
