Front license plate bracket

Does anyone know if Forest River makes a front license plate bracket for the Georgetown MH or if you have one on their Georgetown MH? In California you are required to have a front license plate and there was not one on my MH. Called the dealer and they said FR does not make one. That does not sound correct to me.

Just took delivery on our GT 378ts this morning, no front lisence plate bracket. As with CA, WA also requires it. From what I have learned on the net, FR does not make a front bracket. I am lucky to have one left over from a aftermarket Jeep front bumper that I didn't need that will do the trick for me. Looks like you will have to fab something up in the garge to work.

Since my bracket wouldn't work I ended up just screwing the plate to the front facia using tek screws, worked out great. No bracket needed.

The state of Maryland requires it as well. I had a sheetmetal shop manufacture one to mount on the screening below the bumper with wire ties. It is 10-1/2" wide with a 90 degree bend at the top and goes back 1-1/2" and the same on the bottom but goes back 5-1/4" so it mounts level. A 3/4" flange folds behind the bracket for mounting to the screen. It does require drilling the holes for the license plate and the wireties to pass through. I painted it black and it blended in very well. I also bought the cheap Wal-Mart black plastic license surround to dress it up a bit. Since the area is wide open behind the bracket it does not restrict air flow. It's much better than mounting it directly to the bumper which I've seen on other coaches.

When we bought our Georgetown back in 2003 the selling dealer installed the front license plate bracket.

I do not have a front license bracket on the front of my '04 359TS. Since there is not place for it I have not worried about it (25K so far). In Texas front and rear is required, I guess I will put one on when I get told to. I don't have one on the front of my '06 Chev Trailblazer either (30K so far).

I live in Ohio and have been told the same thing about the license plate bracket. I have a georgetown class A as well. I think I am just going to attemtp to mount my front plate by screwing into the front bumper near the drivers side. best of luck!!

GT front license plat bracket

I'm on my 3rd Georgetown and haven" had a front plate on any of them, and I'm frome MD.I travel quite a bit and have never been stopped for it.I keep it close just in case and will lay it in front window if I have to.Of coarse if you get stopped for speeding or such then they will have a reason to look.I just don"t want to drill holes in the front end if I don"t have to.So far so good

Don need no stinkin bracket

Just kidding of course but out of the four vehicles we own here in California none have a front license plate. All have gotten parking tickets except for the MH. Can't wait to see that happen. LOL. I even got a speeding ticket from a Chippie. Not in the MH of course. No comment ever about a plate. The front of my 391 looks ugly enough without hanging a plate out there. So I too will be a scofflaw till somebody makes me change.

I zip tied mine to the front grill when I went to the inspection station. It is now in my storage bin as it "fell off". I will zip tie it on again in 4 years for inspection.
